SIXTEENTH SEASON: 2002-03
September 11, 2002: "Rolling Requiem", a worldwide choral commemoration of all those lost and those who helped others on September 11 2001, at St. Mary's Anglican Church. Introitis, Hostias, Lacrimosa from Requiem (Mozart).
November 8, 2002: "Lest We Forget", at the Basilica. In Flanders Fields (Healey), Symphony of Psalms (Stravinsky).
December 13-14, 2002: Messiah (Handel), at the Basilica.
March 16, 2003: "Sing For Joy", at Cochrane Street United Church. As part of Cochrane Street United Church's "Concerts Under the Dome" series, this was the choir's third full-programme independent concert.

June 5, 2003: "A Heavenly Night", at St. Peter and Paul Church, Harbour Main. This was the choir's first full independent concert outside St. John's.

June 29, 2003: Opening Ceremonies of Festival 500-Sharing the Voices, an international festival of choral music, at the MUN Field House. The Philharmonic Choir sang with many of the participating choirs and individuals in Festival 500 for this performance.

June 30, 2003: World of Music Concert (part of Festival 500-Sharing the Voices), at Gower Street United Church. Also performing the last three selections were Concerto Della Donna from Montreal and Les Ms. from St. John's. Concerto Della Donna and Les Ms. also performed their own selections during the evening.

July 6, 2003: Festival 500 Grand Finale Concert, at Mile One Stadium. The Philharmonic Choir performed as part of the Festival 500 Massed Adult Choir for this performance, which consisted of several adult choirs and individuals participating in the festival.

December 14-15, 2001: Messiah (Handel), at the Basilica.
March 16, 2002: Christ Lay in Death's Dark Prison (Bach), Laudate Dominum (Mozart), at the Arts and Culture Centre.
March 31, 2002: Sunrise Celebration - an Easter Hymn Singalong presented by the CBC-FM radio programme Choral Concert, at Gower St. United Church. Approximately 30 members of the PCNSO participated in this concert as part of a mass choir consisting of 6 local choirs. This concert was broadcast nationally on CBC Television and CBC Radio 2 on March 31.

June 28, 2002: Concert in the Rotunda, Centre Block, Parliament Buildings, Ottawa. This performance, along with the following performances in Ottawa, was part of the 6th annual Unisong Festival, a choral event involving choirs from across Canada. This was the choir's first-ever performance outside the province of Newfoundland and Labrador.

June 29, 2002: Concert at Christ Church Cathedral, Ottawa. Also performing at this concert was the Whistler Children's Chorus, the Sacred Heart School Senior Choir of Halifax and the Cardinal Carter Academy Singers of Toronto, who performed their own selections during the evening.

June 30, 2002: Sunday Church Service at Christ Church Cathedral, Ottawa. The choir also led the congregation in the singing of hymns and anthems during this service.

July 1, 2002: Canada Day Festivities, Parliament Hill, Ottawa. The PCNSO performed as part of the Unisong Massed Choir for this performance, which consisted of Eastern Canadian choirs participating in the festival. This song was performed in the presence of the Right Honourable Jean Chretien, Prime Minister of Canada and Her Excellency, the Right Honourable Adrienne Clarkson, Governor-General of Canada.

December 10, 2000: Messiah (Handel), at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Grand Falls-Windsor. With the Bel Canto Singers.
March 30-31, 2001: The Creation (Haydn), at the Basilica.
May 22, 2001: Festival 500 Concert, featuring Touchdown (an a capella group from the Netherlands), at the D.F. Cook Recital Hall.
O Clap Your Hands (Vaughan Williams) (with three other St. John's-based choirs).
July 6, 2001: World of Music Concert (part of Festival 500-Sharing the Voices, an international festival of choral music), at the Arts and Culture Centre. Also performing the last three selections were Coro Infantil de la Universidad del Cauca from Colombia and Domino from the Czech Republic. The Colombian and Czech choirs also performed their own selections during the evening.

The combined Youth and Adult Choirs - almost 1500 voices in total - sang the last two selections.

February 13, 2000: Recording session for the 2000 CBC National Competition for Amateur Choirs, at the Anglican Cathedral. Jamaican Market Place was broadcast May 7, 2000 on the CBC Radio 2 (FM) radio program Choral Concert. The PCNSO competed in the category of Mixed Choirs.
